Wellbeing of staff and customers

Staff are made aware that they must stay home if they are unwell. Members and visitors must ring a bell prior to entry. A staff member will check each person's temperature and supervise the use of hand sanitiser. Visitors will be required to complete a COVID-19 contact tracing.

Provide staff and volunteers with information and training on COVID-19, including
when to get tested, physical distancing and cleaning, wearing masks, and how to
manage a sick visitor.
Staff are made aware of COVID-19 symptoms and are not permitted to attend premises if they are unwell or have been in contact with another person who is unwell. We enforce physical distancing of 1.5 metres at our premises. All staff, members and visitors must wear fitted masks. A sick visitor will not be permitted to enter the premises, and will be advised to take a COVID-19 test.

patrons in the gym.
A staff member will be assigned as a COVID-19 Safe Hygiene Marshal. This staff member will ensure that physical distancing, cleaning, accurate record keeping and sanitizing are adhered to.

Physical distancing
Ensure the number of people in a facility does not exceed one person per 8 square
metres of space (excluding staff).
Our academy is large enough to accommodate 20 people at one time with more than 8 square metres of space per person.

Ensure gym or recreation classes or sport activities have no more than 20
participants, plus the instructor and any assistants, per space that complies with one
participant per 8 square metres. There may be multiple classes in a room if there is
sufficient space to accommodate this, and if the classes remain separate with start
and end times staggered to minimise crowding. Ensure participants maintain 1.5
metres physical distance where practical.
Our classes will have no more than 20 participants, plus the instructor per space that complies with one participant per 8 square metres. We will ensure participants maintain 1.5 metres physical distance where practical.

Ensure any spectators comply with 1.5 metres physical distance where practical, such
as through staggered seating. Household contacts are not required to distance.
Spectators, if any, will be distanced at least 1.5 metres apart.
Our academy has high warehouse-style ceilings and good window ventilation. We have enough space to distance up to 20 participants at least 8 square metres apart. The mats on the training area are cleaned and disinfected after every class. Toilets, reception desk, seating, stair rail and door handles are cleaned and sanitised after every class.

Move or block access to equipment to support 1.5 metres of physical distance
between people.
All training equipment available for use is distanced at least 1.5 metres apart.

Ensure communal facilities such as showers, change rooms and lockers have
strategies in place to reduce crowding and promote physical distancing.
Two people will be allowed in each change room at one time.  No showers are in use.

Where practical, stagger the use of communal facilities. Strongly encourage visitors
to shower/change at home where possible.
We will not run any classes back to back to allow time for cleaning and sanitising. Our members are asked to shower and change at home where possible.

Reduce crowding wherever possible and promote physical distancing with markers
on the floor, including where people are asked to queue.
The floor is marked with tape to avoid crowding. The toilet area is marked with tape in case queueing is necessary.

Have strategies in place to manage gatherings that may occur immediately outside
the premises.
Members will be asked to come to class on time, and to leave immediately after class ends. Signs will be placed in the front door area advising of no gathering.

Use telephone or video platforms for essential staff meetings where practical.
Our staff meetings are by phone or video.

Review regular business deliveries and request contactless delivery and invoicing
where practical.

Record keeping
Keep a record of name and a contact number for all staff, volunteers, visitors and contractors for a period of at least 28 days. Where possible, personal details should be collected in a way that protects it from disclosure to other customers, and any paper records must be digitised within 24 hours. Records are to be used only for tracing COVID- 19 infections, must be stored confidentially and securely, and provided immediately to an authorised officer on request.

It is the role of the COVID-19 Safe Hygiene Marshal to ensure the accuracy and legibility of records. We keep contact details for all of our staff and members. Visitors must complete the personal details form to be used for tracing any Covid-19 infection.

Consider whether time in and out can be captured through your record keeping
method. This can help contact tracers better identify who is at risk, and may minimise
the number of people that would need to isolate should someone attend your facility
whilst infectious.
Our visitor personal details form also includes time in and out of the premises. Time in and out for members is recorded on our online database.

Make your staff and visitors aware of the COVIDSafe app and its benefits to support
contact tracing if required.
